One of the nation's top-rated 2021 defenders announced a Clemson offer on Monday.

No. 1-rated North Carolina prospect and Dudley HS defensive tackle Payton Page said he was "extremely blessed" to have the formal offer from the Tigers. Page is no stranger to campus and had a great visit back in April.

“The visit at Clemson was great," Page told TigerNet. "“Coach Bates and Coach Venables are cool dudes, but I can tell when you hit that field they mean business...The message I got from them both was really what everyone that I met has said, ‘I won’t just leave Clemson a better football player but everything they are going to teach me will help me to be a better man.’ Because If I am fortunate to make it to the pros, what will 30 (years) look like after the pros?”

Page said at the time that Clemson was one of four schools recruiting him the hardest. He holds over 30 offers already as the No. 2-rated defensive tackle and the No. 8 prospect overall on 247Sports.

Page tallied 80 stops, with 26 for loss and 10 sacks last season.
