Clemson has offered 4-star 2017 linebacker Avery Roberts from Wilmington, Delaware (Concord HS) on Monday according to his twitter account.
TigerNet spoke with Roberts shortly after he received the Clemson offer and he said that he was "very excited and it's an offer that means a lot." He has been able to talk to defensive coordinator Brent Venables and thinks he is a great coach. He finished by saying that he will try to visit Clemson at some point in July. Roberts has offers from Boston College, Clemson, Illinois, Maryland, UMass, Miami, Nebraska, Nevada, Old Dominion, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Stanford, Syracuse, Temple, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. In 2014, Roberts was named 1st team All-State after recording 112 tackles, 19 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. Blessed to receive and offer from Clemson pic.twitter.com/p8KsMjkdnX
