According to Scott Lauber, Red Sox reporter for the Boston Herald, Clemson baseball recruit Michael Chavis has agreed to terms with the Boston Red Sox. Chavis was selected by the Red Sox in the first round with No. 26 overall pick and will sign for the recommended slot value of $1,870,500.
During his senior season at Sprayberry High School in Marietta, Ga, Chavis batted .580 with 13 homers and 37 RBI. Can confirm @RyanHannable report that #RedSox have agreed, pending physical, with first-round pick Michael Chavis for slot ($1.8075M)
