Four-star Central (Ala.) wide receiver EJ Williams cut his top schools list by five and Clemson’s Tigers are still in the mix.
His top-seven released Sunday is Clemson, Florida, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Tennessee and Oklahoma. Schools from his last list to miss the cut were Georgia, Texas A&M, Oregon, Ole Miss and Arkansas. Williams visited for Clemson’s Elite Junior Day in January and also for the spring game in April. Clemson has two former teammates from his high school on the roster already in Justyn Ross and incoming signee Ray Thornton. He is a consensus 4-star prospect and rated as high as the No. 112 prospect in the nation (Rivals). He hauled in 40 catches for 668 yards and eight scores last season.
