Four-star 2019 Folsom, California receiver Joe Ngata announced a commitment to Clemson via social media Saturday while in town for the All In Cookout this weekend.
"Recruiting was all fun and games but I'm gonna have to commit to the realest of them all. Excited to say I'm committed to further my education at Clemson University!" Ngata posted on Twitter. The 6-foot-3 prospect was named 2017 All-Metro Player of the Year and MaxPreps Junior All-American after helping his team to an undefeated season and winning the CIF Division 1-AA State Championship. On the season, he posted 81 receptions for 1,777 yards and 26 touchdowns. Ngata visited Clemson first for a March Junior Day. He joins 247Sports Composite 5-star receiver Frank Ladson in Clemson's 2019 class, as well as wide receiver Brannon Spector and tight ends Jaelyn Lay and Davis Allen as future Tiger targets. His older brother Ariel plays linebacker at the University of Washington. Clemson has moved up three spots in recent days to No. 7 in the 247Sports Team Composite rankings.
