The NFL is a tough business.

Former Clemson defensive lineman Albert Huggins has been released by the New England Patriots over the weekend.

Huggins was just claimed off waivers by the Patriots on Monday, but the team needed a spot on their 53-man roster for kicker Nick Folk.

The Philadelphia Eagles waived the 22-year old on Nov. 30 after being signed off of the Houston Texans' practice squad.

He signed with the Texans as an undrafted rookie free agent on May 10.

Huggins tallied six tackles in two games as a starter in the 2018 Playoff. He finished his Clemson career with 83 tackles, 11.5 for loss, with seven sacks, 25 QB pressures, and a pass breakup in 911 snaps.
