Minnesota cornerback MacKensie Alexander suffered a dislocated elbow during the Vikings' 28-12 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
Alexander will have an MRI on Monday to find out the severity of the dislocation. More than likely, early projections have him missing around four weeks. He was seen on the sidelines with a sling on his right arm.
Alexander has 66 tackles, four sacks, an interception, and 16 pass break-ups in his four-year NFL career.
Kearse will be helping out in the slot with the defense while Alexander is out of the lineup.
Update: An MRI confirmed Mackensie Alexander will not need surgery on his elbow injury, so he's expected to avoid injured reserve. Timetable still TBD, but all in all, good news after a scary injury. https://t.co/Xz0TWJL9IF— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) September 10, 2019
