Clemson guard makes top-101 CBB players list

TigerNet Staff  ·  Correspondent ·

Clemson senior guard Marcquise Reed made the CBS Sports top-101 players in college basketball list Wednesday.

Reed checks in at No. 67 overall among the top talents in the game.

CBS Sports analysis: "Last season, Reed became the first Clemson player in more than 30 years to post 500 points, 100 rebounds, 50 assists and 50 steals in the same season. He led the Tigers in scoring (15.8 points per game) and was the most important player in ACC play after Donte Grantham's was knocked out with a season-ending injury in January."

Reed is one of 16 ACC representatives on the list. Duke leads the conference with four on the list, followed by Virginia (3).

Reed is among four returning starters from the 2018 Sweet 16 run. Clemson plays its first exhibition away at UNC-Wilmington on Oct. 27 (5 p.m.) in a Hurricane Relief game and returns home for another on Nov. 1 versus Barton College (7 p.m.).

The season starts at home on Nov. 6 versus The Citadel (7 p.m.).
