SMU offered a football scholarship on Monday to Clemson 2016 tight end commit

J.C. Chalk Chalk was in Clemson this past weekend for its annual Elite Junior Day. The 3-star tight end has offers from Arizona State, Clemson, Colorado State, Duke, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, SMU and Texas Tech. Clemson offered on 4/30/14 and he committed to the Tigers on 6/11/14 at the Dabo Swinney Football Camp. As a junior, he had 34 catches for 460 yards and seven touchdowns. In 2013, he had 7 catches for 90 yards. An interesting side note - he is the grandson of former Alabama head coach Gene Stallings.
