Here is how McElrathby described his commitment.

"Coach Burns came by my house and we had a discussion. It was already on my mind to do it. Coach Burns just reassured me. Then I told him I wanted to commit to Clemson."

McElrathby will still take two more official visits.

"I will still visit Arkansas and Minnesota. I just want to make the most of my recruiting. For the most part, everything is firm with Clemson."
