Five-star 2018 running back Zamir "Zeus" White, out of Laurinburg (NC) Scotland County picked Georgia over his finalists Alabama, Clemson, and UNC during a commitment ceremony at his high school on Tuesday.
White is considered the nation's top running back for the 2018 recruiting cycle by every scouting service. He decided to announce his college decision today because it was his mother's birthday. White had national offers from Auburn, Clemson, Duke, East Carolina, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Wisconsin, Penn State, and others. In 2016, he was named the Gatorade North Carolina Player of the Year after helping his team to a 14-1 record with 189 rushes for 1,772 yards and 27 touchdowns. The commitment is the second ESPN300 prospect for Georgia in 2018.
