Miami snaps Clemson's 4 game ACC win streak |
Clemson’s four-game ACC winning streak came to a grinding halt Sunday afternoon in Miami as the Hurricanes hit ten 3-pointers and got 17 points from Sheldon McClellan in a 56-45 victory over the Tigers at the BankUnited Center.
Clemson falls to 14-9 over, 6-5 in the ACC while the Hurricanes improve to 14-9, 5-5. Clemson was led in scoring by Donte Grantham The Tigers held a 25-24 lead the half, but Miami came out firing to begin the second half and a dunk by McClellan at the 11:40 mark concluded a 20-5 run and gave the Hurricanes a 44-30 lead. "We didn't play as well as we've been playing the last few times," head coach Brad Brownell said. "They played better than we did. We didn't play very well offensively. They had some things to do with that." Tigers battled back, however, and a Josh Smith Clemson returns to action Tuesday night when they host 10th-ranked Notre Dame at 7 p.m. at Littlejohn Coliseum
