Clemson has offered 4-star 2016 defensive end Xavier Kelly from Wichita, Kansas according to multiple reports.
Kelly decided to back away from his in-state Kansas State commitment this past Saturday and explore more of his college options. He posted on twitter, "I have decided to open up my recruitment." Since then, he has new offers from Notre Dame and Clemson. Schools that have offered include Arizona, Arkansas, Clemson, Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas Tech. Michigan is one school to watch since he has family in the area and his father is from Michigan. Kelly got several schools attention when he measured in at 6'5" and 230 pounds and ran a fast 4.55 at the Nike Dallas Regional "The Opening." On Tuesday, he accepted an invite to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He is also a standout basketball player who led East high to the 6A state title last week. Add #Clemson to the ever-growing offer list for Wichita (Kan.) East DE @xavierkelly22. #NotreDame also offered recently. #HeIsBlowingUp
