Clemson has offered 4-star defensive end Patrick Bethel from Vero Beach, FL according to his twitter account.
Defensive coordinator Brent Venables relayed the offer on Monday to his head coach. TigerNet spoke with Bethel soon after he received the good news. "It truly is a blessing and an honor! I'm very thankful and excited about it." He was asked what he knew about the Clemson football program. "I know they have a constant top defense in the nation," said Bethel. "They have a great educational program as well and I look forward to learning more about Clemson in the near future." Bethel has offers from Alabama, App State, Arkansas, Clemson, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Marshall, Miami, New Mexico State, N.C. State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, UCF and Wake Forest. He has no favorites at this time and he is still "trying to stay open-minded since its early on." The highly regarded prospect is a Miami legacy as his father Randy Bethel played for the Hurricanes from 1988 to 1990. I'm Blessed to say that i have been offered by The University of Clemson! #Tigers
