Meredith had offers from Air Force, Clemson and East Carolina and had high interest from Florida State, North Carolina, North Carolina State and South Carolina. He visited Clemson back on July 17.

In 2014, he was named to the All-Area team as he hit .471 with 25 stolen bases, 32 runs and a .610 on-base percentage.

He is also a standout running back for Glenn high school and has taken an unofficial visit to Clemson as a football recruit.
