Clemson 2017 quarterback commit Hunter Johnson was named the MVP of the 2017 Army All-American game at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday afternoon.
Johnson was 3 out-of-10 for 91 yards and a passing touchdown to help the East team in the win. "It was a blast, so much fun,” Johnson said via USA Today Sports. “I could not have expected a better time.” Johnson will enroll early at Clemson on Monday to begin his first year of college. In 2016, Johnson passed for 2,233 yards with 25 touchdowns and also rushed for 525 yards and three scores. As a junior, Johnson passed for 2,545 yards with 31 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. In 2014, he completed 54% of his passes for 1,434 passing yards with ten touchdowns and eight interceptions.
