Three-star 2019 Phenix City, Alabama safety Ray Thornton announced a Clemson offer on social media Thursday evening.

Thornton was on hand during the second session of Clemson camp and also holds offers from Power 5 schools such as Auburn, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Missouri.

“Beyond Blessed to receive an offer from Clemson University!!!” Thornton posted on Twitter.

Thornton totaled 44 tackles with two interceptions in his junior season. He was teammates with 5-star Clemson receiver signee Justyn Ross at Central High School (Ala.).
