WATCH: Clelin Ferrell's powerful message to Raiders Nation

Former Clemson defensive end Clelin Ferrell was selected with the fourth overall pick by the Oakland Raiders Thursday.

It was a surprising pick for most draft gurus and many Raiders fans, so Ferrell decided to relieve their worries by sending them a positive message on social media.

"Hey...What's up Raider Nation? This is Clelin Ferrell," he said in the video. "I can't wait to get started and so happy to be a part of a great historic franchise and organization. I just want to let everyone know, I know a lot of you were surprised, it's all in good faith, and it's all because of the man upstairs. I can't wait to get started. Love the silver and black. Can't wait to get out to Las Vegas when we move. It's going to be a great journey.

Ferrell wants to bring all those positive traits that he has learned at Clemson to the Raiders.

"I promise you that ya'll getting a player committed, all about the right things, bringing the right attitude, leadership, and about playing and winning games. Shout out to my new teammates and can't wait to get started."
