Hunter Renfrow was mistaken for Derek Carr's son by security

by - Assoc. Editor -

Oakland Raiders rookie receiver Hunter Renfrow is close friends with quarterback Derek Carr as they carpool together to their football games.

Early in the season, a security guard mixed up Renfrow for Derek Carr's son in the front seat.

"It was funny. It was the second game of the year playing Kansas City at home, and we drive by the security guy, and I'm in the front passenger seat, and he is in the front seat," Renfrow said. "Derek kinda says hey, and he waves him through. He looks in the window and says, 'Hey, you got your son with you today,', and I look at him and say 'Do I look that young?'. I'm five years younger than him (Carr), and so we have a good time laughing about that."

For the season, Renfrow has 33 receptions for 365 yards (11.1 YPC) and two touchdowns.
