Former Clemson defensive tackle
Dexter Lawrence ran an official 5.05 40-yard dash with a 1.76 10-yard split at 342 pounds on Sunday at the 2019 NFL Combine.
However, 'Big Dex' came up limp after the end of the sprint showing some visible pain on his face. He was later seen with an ice pack on his left quad and will not participate in the rest of today's workout according to NFL Network. Hopefully, Lawrence will fully recover shortly as Clemson's Pro Day is on March 14. Update: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says the injury is a minor quad strain and he should be ready for Clemson's Pro Day. On Saturday, Lawrence also showed off his speed-power combo by doing a DL-best 36 reps of 225 pounds at the bench press. His former Clemson teammate Albert Huggins was second in the entire DL group with 35 reps.
