Former Clemson wide receiver Adam Humphries made his mark in a preseason game versus Detroit Friday.

The Dorman (S.C.) product returned a long-distance field goal attempt 109 yards for a touchdown to close the first half. Humphries is now in his fourth season in the NFL and has 143 career catches for 1,513 yards with four scores.

Adam Humphries' 109 yd FG return for TD is statistically the longest possible play in the NFL.

It's been done twice in the regular season: Cordarrelle Patterson (KO return) on Oct. 27, 2013 and Antonio Cromartie (FG return) on Nov. 4, 2007.
