TigerNet was able to have a short interview with Clemson 2016 quarterback commit Zerrick Cooper on Wednesday afternoon.

The four-star prospect from Jonesboro(HS) said that his rehab from the torn ACL was doing good. He is still on target to be ready for his senior season at Jonesboro.

The knee injury happened during his summer workouts and he missed the entire football season. Cooper was invited to the prestigious Rising Senior All-Star game in December but will miss the game as he continues his rehab.

Since his commitment to the Tigers, several schools have not stopped recruiting Cooper. Some of the coaching staffs that have contacted him are from Auburn, North Carolina and Ole Miss.

Cooper confirmed plans that he will take another trip to Death Valley this year.

The 6-4, 200 pound junior is one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks for the 2016 recruiting class. This will more than likely be the only quarterback take for Clemson for 2016. Clemson offered on 3/27/14.

As a junior in split quarterback duty, Cooper threw for 1,200 yards on 83 of 156 passing with six touchdowns. As a sophomore, he had 2,200 yards and 23 touchdowns and also rushed for 404 yards and 11 more scores.
