Julius Wilkerson - Linebacker
Height: 6-3   Weight: 200   Hometown: Gaffney, SC (Gaffney HS)   Class: 2006
ESPN: NR

Gaffney has one of the most feared home fields in the Palmetto State. A key reason opponents will struggle to win at the Reservation this season is because of rising senior linebacker Julius Wilkerson. Wilkerson totaled 151 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and one interception in his junior season.

"I am able to get my drops in quickly. The coaches like to put me in space so I can make plays. The more freedom I have the better I am able to play. If I can get a hand on a player, he is going down. Missing tackles is not an option for me."

Clemson is the first school to offer Wilkerson, but they are not the only ones he is hearing from.

"Clemson has already offered me. That was pretty exciting to get my first offer. South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Georgia, and some other schools are sending me a lot of mail. I would say Clemson is probably recruiting me the hardest, because they have already offered me. I think I will wait the process out for awhile before I make my decision."

Depth at linebacker will be an area where Wilkerson looks when it comes time to make his decision.

"I want to have the chance to play early. I would like to come in and compete for playing time immediately."
