Offensive Line 6-7, 320 Ninety Six, SC View Full Profile, who has verbally committed to play football at Clemson University, said he will earn his diploma in December and attend classes at Clemson in January. That way, Jones - one of the most sought-after football players in the state - can participate in the Tigers' spring practice and get a head start on next year's competition to be in the starting lineup in 2012. "It was over the summer when I decided it," Jones said. "Right before we had fall practice starting; it was around that time. I can't remember the exact date, but I will start classes there in January." Jones said there were no outside influences encouraging him to enroll early at Clemson. "They didn't pressure me in any way," Jones said. "This just gives me the chance to play early and get a leg up on everything."
