4-star 2019 athlete Jashawn Sheffield from Saint Simons Island, GA (Frederica Academy) is on everyone's recruiting radar.
After his freshman year where he had 753 rushing yards, 316 receiving yards, 1272 all-purpose yards, and 14 touchdowns, he was named a Max Prep Freshman-All American. Sheffield has received offers from all over the country including Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia. He visited Clemson in March and came away impressed. "I did a month or so ago. I liked the campus and Coach Scott a lot. He's really down to earth. I can tell he really cares. He came to my school a few weeks back and hung out for a while." Sheffield says he doesn't have a leader or a top five, but Clemson is one of his favorites. "I haven't had a chance to visit a lot of places yet so that would be fair (to have a top five)," Sheffield said."I'm pretty open. I like Clemson though." What kind of player would the team that signs Sheffield be getting? "Somebody elusive and not afraid of contact," Sheffield said. Clemson will have a fight on its hand with Florida State, who he calls his dream school.
