Clemson is looking to sign one more linebacker in the class of 2006. Tallahassee's Craig Stevens is a blue chip prospect firmly on Clemson's board. Stevens was scheduled to visit Clemson on January 13th, but that may be changing.

"I stayed home this weekend, and my next trip was supposed to be Clemson. I might be going this weekend or I may go next weekend. My cell phone really isn't working, so I haven't been able to talk to Coach Swinney."

Does Stevens still plan on visiting Clemson?

"Oh yeah, I am definitely going to make that visit."

Stevens has already visited Maryland, Alabama, and Auburn. He came away without a clear leader.

"All of them had something good. Nothing has stood out yet."

What is Stevens looking for that he hasn't found?

"A place that is comfortable. A place I can see myself for the next four or five years. I want to see if I get along with the players."

Stevens says playing time is a factor, but it is not the sole factor in his decision.

"Next year is not that big of deal, but I want to be on the field by my second season."

Dabo Swinney is recruiting Stevens for the Tigers, and Stevens says the two have built a good relationship.

"He is a real cool dude. He always comes up to the school. He is more like a friend than coach. Coach Swinney is bringing Coach Bowden in two weeks."

We anticipate Stevens will change his visit with Clemson to January 20th. His teammate Ashton Henderson is visiting the Bruins this week, and Stevens would like to make the trip together. We will have more on his decision later this week.
