Jacoby Ford was the only official visitor this weekend that was not already committed to Clemson. All of that changed Sunday morning.

"I told Coach Bowden I wanted to be a Tiger. He was very excited, when I told him."

What led Ford to his decision?

"Everything on the visit was perfect. I mixed very well with the players and the coaches. La'Donte Harris was my host, and we had a really good time together this weekend. We played a lot of video games at Chansi's."

When will Ford enroll at Clemson?

"I will be here in January. They will start on the paperwork right away, and I should be able to enroll in January. Kendrick (Johnson) and Jeff (Ogren) are coming in January as well. We are looking forward to getting a head start."

What position will Ford play at Clemson?

"They will use me mostly as a wide receiver and return specialist."

Ford is the most versatile of Clemson's now 16 verbal commitments. He was the fastest player remaining on the board. The Tigers could use Ford as running back as well. This is a major commitment for the Tigers and gives them good momentum heading into the dead period.
