Young is rated as high as a 4-star on Rivals (No. 141 overall/No. 10 athlete).

He announced a Clemson offer on June 4. His other offers included Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Texas A&M among more Power programs.

Young joins quarterback Tait Reynolds in the Clemson class.
