Clemson DB target close to decision

Five-star 2019 safety Daxton Hill (Tulsa, OK) announced an upcoming commitment decision earlier this week.

After a late March offer, Hill placed Clemson in a top-6 group with Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Michigan, Alabama and Ohio State in late April. Hill has since visited Oklahoma State and Alabama and said he will visit Oklahoma while on hand for a standout performance at The Opening Finals. His brother, Justice, is a running back for Oklahoma State. He has not made a stop at Clemson or Ohio State as of yet.

Hill tallied 71 tackles, six for loss, with 11 pass breakups and five interceptions last season.

Another Clemson safety target in Jalyn Phillips is set to announce on Aug. 20, where Clemson is a favorite in contention with Oklahoma, Tennessee, Alabama and Southern Cal as his top-5.
