Shaffer led the Tigers in many offensive categories in 2012. He batted .336 with 21 doubles, two triples, 10 homers, 46 RBIs, 63 walks, and a .448 on-base percentage. In early June, he was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays with the #25 overall pick in the draft.

Pohl, who was drafted in the 28th round by the Athletics, led the 2012 Tigers with 58 RBIs along with nine homers and 11 doubles. Kieboom did not allow a passed ball and committed only three errors (.993 fielding percentage) in 2012. Kieboom was drafted in the fifth round by the Nationals.
