The Clemson defense kept Georgia Tech off the scoreboard in the second quarter with a goal-line stand on fourth down at the Tigers' 1 yard line.

Clemson had immediate pressure on Georgia Tech QB Tobias Oliver and linebacker James Skalski tipped the ball into the hands of Denzel Johnson for his first career interception. Clemson's offense went on to drive the length of the field to go up 28-0.
