Syracuse expects 'largest crowd in decades' for No. 1 Clemson matchup

Orange everywhere on Saturday night.

Syracuse announced on Monday that they expect a sellout crowd with less than 175 tickets left remaining to see the Orange faceoff against No. 1 Clemson in the Carrier Dome on Saturday night (7:30 p.m./ABC).

The only tickets available are with season-ticket packages (might sell individually later this week) or on the secondary market.

“This is going to be the largest crowd that we’ve had here in decades,” Syracuse athletic director Wildhack said in a statement.

The last sellout for a home game at Syracuse was against Tennessee in 1998.

This game will also be the Homecoming game for Syracuse so that it will be a very festive event for fans. But for how long?

Currently, Vegas odds have Clemson as an impressive 27.5-point road favorite against the Orange.
