Former Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier was honored as a member of the 2018 ACC Football Legends class during pre-game of the ACC Championship game featuring No. 2 Clemson and Pittsburgh.
Obviously, the majority of the crowd was Tigers fans as they cheerfully booed the former rival coach when he was announced on the field. Spurrier smiled his patented grin after hearing the boos and appeared to raise his hand five times alluding to South Carolina's wins from 2009-2013. He could also be alluding to Clemson's current winning streak as they have won the last five meetings in the rivalry series. Before he became the all-time winningest head coach at Florida and USC, the HBC was in charge of the Duke program.
