The 2018 Clemson Football recruiting class is shaping up nicely with several big-time commits headed to TigerTown next year.

247Sports released their latest recruiting rankings on Monday and it showed the overwhelming talent of the class spearheaded by 5-star quarterback Trevor Lawrence (#1 overall, #1 QB) and 5-star defensive end Xavier Thomas (#3 overall, #1 DE).

Other highly recruited Clemson commits that received 4-stars were athlete Derion Kendrick (#12 WR), cornerback Kyler McMichael (#10 CB), defensive tackle Josh Belk (#6 DT), outside linebacker Mike Jones Jr. (#13 OLB), linebacker Jake Venables (#21 OLB), and defensive end Justin Mascoll (#6 WDE).

Clemson commits with 3-star rankings included defensive tackle Darnell Jefferies (#32 DT), tight end Braden Galloway (#21 TE), and kicker BT Potter (#7 PK).

The Tigers' highly regarded class is currently ranked seventh in the nation behind only Miami, Ohio State, Tennessee, Penn State, LSU, and Oregon.

Look for Miami and Tennessee to lose some of their momentum in recruiting after mediocre 2017 seasons.
