grew accustomed to representing Lassiter High School on the football field this fall, but in February the senior wide receiver will be representing the country as a member of the 2012 U.S. Under-19 national team.

Jenkins and the U.S. team will compete Feb. 5 in the fourth annual International Bowl in Austin, Texas, against the International Federation of American Football’s World Team. The U.S. team will be coached by Aaron Brady of Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C.

“It’s a huge honor to be selected along with some of the best players in the country all getting together,” said Jenkins, who has verbally committed to play at Clemson next fall. “It’s also an honor to be playing for Team USA.
