As a junior, he had 75 tackles, 5 sacks, 2 INTs on defense and 331 yards receiving and 5 TDs on offense. Clemson offered him on 2/16/2012. He has attended camps at Florida and Florida State. He committed to Clemson on 3/7/12. Clemson decided to part ways with McDonald after several surprise visits to other schools.
