4-star 2018 defensive end Xavier Thomas has Clemson in his top four schools on Sunday according to his Twitter account.

His top four schools were Clemson, Florida State, South Carolina, and Ohio State.

Thomas is currently at The Opening camp this weekend and has been showing his impressive pass-rushing skills to the coaches, players, etc.

TigerNet.com spoke with Thomas recently, and he appeared to enjoy his experience at Clemson.

"This visit was amazing," Thomas said. "From the second I got there all the way to the second I left Clemson, I was always impressed with something no matter what it was."

Thomas has had a chance to get to know Dabo Swinney during his recruitment and his vision for the football program.

"I got close with coach Dabo Swinney as he came to me during their spring practice for about 10 minutes and talked to me more about the program and Clemson," Thomas said. "I also got to know more of the other coaches better also. Coach Dabo mainly talked about he never wanted just to have a good football team but wanted to have a good football program. He has had 135 seniors and 129 of them have graduated with a degree which he takes very seriously."

He was able to tour parts of the campus and got to understand what it would be like as a freshman at Clemson.

"They also toured and showed us where we would be staying as a freshman and the apartment was very nice. Clemson is also building a whole new facility connected to the new practice facility that will have a bowling alley, new weight room, new players lounge, etc. which will be done by next January."

He was also able to check out the academic side of Clemson during his short visit.

"They showed us the academic center where we would be studying and have to spend 10 hours there each week. I can not wait to visit back to Clemson. Clemson is just something special. How could you not like Clemson?"
