Recruiting: Tigers Add Quarterback Commitment

Tribble Reese Quarterback Birmingham, AL (Mountain Brook HS) 6’3” 190lbs Birmingham, AL quarterback Tribble Reese was the second commitment for the Clemson football program on Sunday. Reese picked the Tigers over Wake Forest, NC State, Ole Miss and Notre Dame. LSU had also recently shown a lot of interest in Tribble. “I made a visit to Clemson a few weeks, and I just really love the coaches,” said Reese. The late blooming quarterback had 2353 yards and 24 touchdowns passing this season with 4 interceptions. Reese also excels in the classroom and recently scored a 1390 on the SAT. Reese has taken official visits NC State and Wake Forest. His official to Clemson is scheduled for January 9. He had visits set for Ole Miss on January 16th and Notre Dame on the 23rd but he is not sure if he will still make those. “I am excited and really looking forward to my (official) visit to Clemson,” said Reese. “Clemson’s offense is a quarterback’s dream.” Clemson assistant Dabo Swinney is recruiting Reese for the Tigers. “This is a huge pick up for the Tigers in that Reese was the number one quarterback on Clemson’s board,” said recruiting analyst Mickey Plyler. “It says a lot about the job Dabo Swinney is doing for the Tigers in Alabama. Also, now with the commitments of Cullen Harper and Reese it makes it so much easier to move Chansi Stuckey and/or C.J. Gaddis.
