Tony Willis
Offensive Lineman
Richmond, Va (Highland Springs HS)
6-6, 305, 5.3

Clemson's season opener against Georgia may not have gone the
way the Tigers had hoped, but Highland Springs (Richmond, VA) offensive
lineman liked what he saw.

"I just loved the atmosphere, especially on game day," said the 6'6",
300 lb. Willis. "The fans are very committed to the program, and I feel like
I can grow academically."

Currently, Willis' focus is on his high school team's future. The
Springers have won eight of nine games and are led by a running back
who has rushed for over 2,000 yards, but need a win on Friday and a loss
by another school to qualify for the playoffs.

When the season does end, Willis will turn his focus to his future with
Clemson, where he has already verbally committed. Although there are
rumors about the future of Coach Tommy Bowden, Willis said he still
plans to be a Tiger next year.

"I hope he is the coach next year, and I expect him to be," Willis said.
"But even if he isn't, I am still pretty firm with my commitment."

Clemson assistant John Lovett recruited Willis for the Tigers.
