Paul Finebaum on Clemson: "They're not one of the top four teams" |
ESPN College Football analyst Paul Finebaum is a massive fan of Clemson this season. Joking...he is still trying his best to minimize the Tigers.
"They're not one of the top four teams in the country, and for that poll to put them there is ludicrous," Finebaum said on a Tuesday appearance on ESPN's 'Get Up.' "This is not a lifetime achievement award. This is supposed to be based on what you are doing right now. They beat North Carolina. North Carolina lost to App. State the week before and Wake Forest the week before that. Clemson's best win is over Texas A&M by two touchdowns at home. Texas A&M had to hold on to beat Arkansas, which is the worst team in the SEC." The very bald Finebaum then commented on Lawrence's magnificent blonde hair and the sophomore's quarterback play in five wins this season. "Trevor Lawrence has grown a lot of nice hair in the offseason, but he hasn't grown as a quarterback," he said. "I thought he was one of the greatest quarterbacks I've ever seen and could potentially be the best, but there are quarterbacks all across the board right now who are playing better than him. Maybe the pressure is too much."
