Swinney on Xavier Thomas' status, injury updates on team

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney held his postgame press conference after the double overtime loss to Miami on Saturday night.

Swinney said that veteran defensive end Xavier Thomas was out against Miami for violation of team rules and will be back on Monday.

"We could have used him," Swinney said.

Swinney said that receiver Antonio Williams' injury was a toe injury that kept him out of the second half of action.

Swinney didn't have an injury update on defensive end Justin Mascoll.
