Veteran infielder Andrew Ciufo announces Clemson return

Graduate shortstop Andrew Ciufo confirmed Clemson baseball head coach Erik Bakich's Wednesday announcement that Ciufo is returning for another season with the Tigers.

"Few players have the privilege of playing at such an amazing program and under coaches as dedicated and influential as Coach Bakich and the rest of the staff. This is the best coaching staff in the country," Ciufo said. "With that said, I will be returning for the 2025 season! Team 128 has unfinished business, and I am pumped to be a part of another special team.

"To Coach Bakich, the baseball staff, my teammates and the Clemson community, the goal is a national championship, and you will get everything I've got to turn that dream into a reality."

Ciufo suffered a torn ACL 27 games into his transfer season with the Tigers, where he provided stability at shortstop and hit .280 with 16 RBIs, 19 runs and five extra-base hits.

The highlight of his season in Clemson was a 12th-inning walk-off homer over South Carolina at Segra Park in Columbia.

He's tallied 12 homers and 66 RBIs over three seasons at the college level.
