Saw that. Was not sure if he was going to take the guaranteed money or not.***

Heard him talking about his foundation. Sounds like a great guy who is doing some amazing things for others.

My son and I watched that as well. He is a very upbeat guy, and I'm glad he won a bunch of cash for his future.

I met Travis Mills in Maine, where he lives several years ago. My buddy and I were hunting up there and were eating in the White Duck Brew Pub in Winthrop Maine when we saw this guy that on initial glance I thought was a double amputee.

He was relatively young and had on some camo, so we figured he was injured in combat. We both were about to get up and tell the waitress that we were gonna cover his bill when he came over to our table to ask us how was our meal and how were we doing.

It was then that I realized he was actually a quad amputee. He asked us to come back and we then realized he was more than just a customer. It turns out he is the owner or part owner of not only the restaurant but the motel and cabins we were staying in.

I go up there every Spring to turkey hunt after the season is done down South and have had several conversations with Travis.

He is the absolutely most positive dude to be around. Tough As They Come is a book he has written about his experiences. It's in paperback and I would strongly advise anyone to get a copy(Amazon has it).

Too often I whine about crap, but honestly since meeting Travis, when my knees are bothering me or my back, I remind myself about Travis.

He's also incredibly funny, just an amazing guy.

I'll have to see if I can pull up this show.
