The Future

The Future

I always keep a depth chart for the next two and three years on my iPad. Even though we have 10 regular season games left this season, I can't help but to get excited about the future of this football program.

Since the Tigers don't play in two days, I thought it would be a good day to think way ahead.

If you have read this blog over the past few weeks you know I am crazy about Deshaun WatsonDeshaun Watson

.  The quarterback position looks as promising now as I have ever seen it.  Watson is the kind of player you can build a program around.

would soon follow and have a similar impact on the program.  Well, here we are only one year post Watkins and I think Watson can have the same impact at Clemson.

We have seen very little of the newcomers at running back but I am extremely excited about Adam ChoiceAdam Choice

will both return.

With the promise of the young players in this program, I think Clemson is close to exploding as a perennial power in the ACC and on the national scene.  We saw freshmen dominate the headlines this past weekend and rivals.com currently has Clemson ranked second in the nation in recruiting.

The past three seasons have seen an ACC championship, two BCS bowl games, 32 wins and two national top 10 finishes.  However, as the staff claimed last year, the best is yet to come.
