See the gray areas for the visitor seating on this seating chart. The visitor seating is bad at VT - only the top corner of the stadium.
Section 235-236, top portion of 233-234, 501-502, and top of 503-504,

If what you said is really the visitor seats, there is no way they would ever have a chance to spend a nickel of my money. IMPO, that is total disrespect to their opposing visitors. They're actually saying to opposing visitors (Me) screw you, sit there or nowhere and I would gladly choose nowhere if those seats were the opposing visitor seats....

Last time we played in Blackburg, that is where they put us. I was up there and Tiger Band was up there too.
To be fair, Clemson no longer gives away teams many seats in the lower bowl but we haven't put a visiting band in the upper deck yet. FSU complained the Marching Chiefs were going to have to sit in the upper deck at Death Valley and that is why they didn't bring their band last year. As I understand it, FSU had the choice to set their band in the limited seats (500, I think) for away teams in the northwest corner of the lower deck (around the portal that visiting teams enter the field. FSU chose to give those seats to high $ supporters instead of their band.

Football is all about money. If you are not giving to VT sports you sit in the nose bleed sections. But no surprise everything about college football is about money now.

I went and sat on the 50 on the visiting side last time we played there. No problems what so ever with their fans. They are good people.

Same on about the 40 lower level. The fans were great, I was loud and proud but not obnoxious. Fans took the loss graciously. Best interactions I had with fans at their home field ever.

You can park there without getting your car keyed (or worse) and you can wear your Clemson gear in the stadium without getting a beer or liquor bottle thrown at you.

I lived in Blacksburg for seven years and attended several games. The VT fans are generally decent as long as you don’t act a fool. Also note Blacksburg can be notoriously cold/windy, especially for a night game

Seats were in the Clemson Section . . . End Zone and Higher than High . . . Cold Winds and a Warm Game made it fun!!!
Their Fans stayed to themselves . . . We felt completely safe walking to and from the Stadium and inside the premises . . . Went to a local brewery for pre-Game meal and libations. Beer was better than the food . . . but I am a bit biased. We were treated well there too.
It was a fun trip . . . Go if you’re able . . . You will enjoy it!!!

Please come on to a game. It's very welcoming to opposing fans. You will run into an occasional dip-shXt college kid, but 99% of the fans are great and will welcome you to our tail gates. The downtown scene is a lot of fun as well and you will feel very much like you are in a small college town similar to Clemson. It's best to stay in Roanoke and drive to the game (45 minutes). I highly recommend the Hotel Roanoke or Hampton-Inn Downtown Roanoke. If you want the Appalachian experience stay at a Bed and Breakfast in Floyd, VA.
You can sit anywhere in the stadium and you won't be harassed. The press-box side is much nicer if you can get a ticket there.
