4-star offensive lineman Sean Pollard His finalists were Clemson, Duke, North Carolina, North Carolina State and Wake Forest. However, most recruiting analysts thought it to be a two-way race between Clemson and Duke. Clemson offered on 7/8/14. Pollard was one of the highest priority targets for Clemson's 2016 offensive line class and the Tigers wanted to secure his important commitment. He plans to enroll early next January at Clemson. He has national offers from Clemson, Duke, East Carolina, Miami, North Carolina, N.C. State, Penn State, Rutgers, South Carolina, Virginia, Wake Forest, and others. He also had heavy interest from California, Georgia Tech, Florida State and Stanford before he shut down his recruiting. The 6-5, 295 pound offensive guard participated in the 2014 Dabo Swinney football camp back in June and took four visits to Clemson and his main recruiter of record was Robbie Caldwell. Pollard helped Pinecrest to an 11-3 overall record in 2014. His Nike SPARQ official verified stats include a 5.93 40 yard dash, 4.76 shuttle, 21.6 inch vertical and a 37' Power Ball. Pollard is the third commitment for Clemson's 2016 class which also includes tight end J.C Chalk and quarterback Zerrick Cooper.
