has committed to Clemson over Texas on Monday evening. He is a consensus 4-star recruit by all the major recruiting services and a former South Carolina commitment.

Fields visited Clemson this past weekend and told reporters that he did not commit. He said he was probably going to cancel a visit to LSU but would make a trip to Texas. However, Fields told TigerNet he actually committed to Clemson on Sunday but decided to announce the commitment on Monday.

Fields has offers from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi, North Carolina, NC State, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Wake Forest and others.

He was selected to the 2015 U.S. Army All-American Bowl and was invited to "The Opening" camp and was the fastest player at the event.

However, he did not participate in the All-American bowl due to a broken finger.

Fields visited Clemson for the Orange and White game on 4/13/13 and also attended the 2013 Dabo Swinney football camp. He is the son of former NFL linebacker Mark Fields Sr.
