Several Clemson targets and commits moved up
in the latest 247Sports 2020 rankings on Wednesday.
Three Clemson commits are in the top-100, with four-star offensive tackle Paul Tchio moving up 67 spots (No. 72), four-star defensive tackle Tre Williams moving up 12 spots (No. 45) and four-star defensive tackle Demonte Capehart moving up nine spots (No. 29). The biggest jump forward among Tiger pledges is offensive tackle Walker Parks, who vaulted 168 spots to No. 192 overall and the No. 23 offensive tackle. Clemson targets line the top of the rankings, including five-star defensive tackle Bryan Bresee staying at No. 1, instate DE Jordan Burch moving up 23 spots to No. 2 and No. 1 QB DJ Uiagalelei moving up six spots to No. 3 overall. Clemson has offers out or interest in the rest of the top-10 in five-star LB Sav'ell Smalls (No. 4; No. 1 OLB), five-star WR Julian Fleming (No. 5; No. 1 WR), five-star ILB Justin Flowe (No. 6; No. 1 ILB), five-star OT Paris Johnson Jr. (No. 7; No. 1 OT; Ohio State commit), five-star OLB Mekhail Sherman (No. 8; No. 2 OLB), five-star CB Elias Ricks (No. 9; No. 1 CB) and five-star RB Zachary Evans (No. 10; No. 1 RB). According to 247Sports' Crystal Ball, Clemson is regarded as a projected favorite for these uncommitted Top247 prospects (with varying numbers of CB predictions at various times): Bresee, Burch, Uiagalelei, Antoine Sampah, CB Fred Davis II, WR E.J. Williams, S Keshawn Lawrence, RB Jaylan Knighton, DT Cole Brevard and DT Timothy Smith. 247Sports has Clemson as the No. 4-rated class in the 2020 247Sports Composite Team Rankings, with all seven commits carrying Composite 4-star ratings.
