Beer named to prestigious national awards

Clemson freshman outfielder Seth Beer has been named the National Midseason Player of the Year and Midseason Freshman of the year by Perfect Game on Thursday.

"Beer hit his 13th home run of the season on Tuesday night, and despite the fact that he would be a senior in high school right now had he not enrolled early at Clemson, he certainly has shown poise beyond his years in coming up with big, game-changing hits," Perfect Game said.

Beer currently has a 25-game hitting streak and hit a mammoth home run on Tuesday night against Georgia.

Here is another angle of the majestic home run.
