Another trio of Tigers were named preseason first-team All-Americans and five total made the list with the USA TODAY Sports selections this week.

Sophomore Trevor Lawrence and junior Travis Etienne continued their trend of first-team picks.

"After a strong offseason on the heels of a sterling debut campaign (30 touchdowns against four interceptions), Lawrence is bigger, stronger and even sharper mentally heading into his sophomore year," USA TODAY Paul Myerberg writes.

Isaiah Simmons is again a preseason first-team selection on the defensive side.

"Big enough to play linebacker and fast enough to play in the secondary, Simmons (97 tackles) might be the top defender in the country," said Myerberg.

Tee Higgins has had a quiet offseason from a hype standpoint but he earned the second-team nod on offense. Xavier Thomas is a projected second-team All-American defender.
