Another trio of Tigers were named preseason first-team All-Americans and five total made the list
with the USA TODAY Sports selections this week.
Sophomore Trevor Lawrence and junior Travis Etienne continued their trend of first-team picks. "Big enough to play linebacker and fast enough to play in the secondary, Simmons (97 tackles) might be the top defender in the country," said Myerberg. Tee Higgins has had a quiet offseason from a hype standpoint but he earned the second-team nod on offense. Xavier Thomas is a projected second-team All-American defender.
